Tara Firma Farms

Pasture Raised Meats, Eggs, Veggies and more Home Delivered

In 2009, Tara Firma Farms set off on a mission to create a local, sustainable network of friends, families, and farmers, to raise and procure the highest quality animals possible, and to allow our community full access to our farm.

Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program and its over 600 active members are a testament to our members' dedication to local, sustainable, and healthy food.  We only raise and source the highest quality, pasture raised, antibiotic/hormone free, and non-GMO animals within our local foodshed.

Our 260 acre farm is family owned & operated in beautiful Petaluma, California; Come visit soon!

It’s both our goal and passion to provide you and your family with sustainable, local, and ethical sources to feed your family.

with Charlie Kennard

宝贝你下面的水儿真甜Join us for a hands on workshop to make plaited table mats. Central Mexican rodilleros mats are used for kneeling on when grinding corn . When new, they have a delightful grassy scent, and a muted variable green color. The technique involves smacking the strips with a cobble, so this will be a noisy workshop! Charlie Kennard of San Anselmo is a long-time basket weaver and student of California Indian and other traditional basketry techniques. He has taught for the Point Reyes Field Institute, East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden, and more. His work can be found at many museums from the Bay Model in Sausalito to the Oakland Museum. Charlie has created a basketry plant garden at the Marin Art and Garden Center and he is active in native habitat restoration in Marin.

Pumpkins on pikes - October 19th and 26th

“A magical Petaluma tradition where memories are made.”

The festivities start in the afternoon with great food, live music and pumpkin carving. Everyone will get the chance to display their Jack-O-Lantern on a pike in the corn field. When the sun goes down the pumpkins are lit. It is a truly heartwarming feeling looking over the glowing corn field to see the individual creations of all who attend. This is a fundraiser for our non-profit, providing education on regenerative agriculture to the community and youth.

FREE pumpkin included with admission.

We are elated to announce that the land here at Tara Firma Farms officially received Organic Certification from CCOF!

This was our goal from the start and we can now proudly declare that our eggs, fruits and vegetables grown out here on the farm are organic. With all of the false information the food industry throws at us, (i.e. Natural, which means nothing), when it is labeled organic, we know it is safe to feed our children.
